: I recently purchased a Farmall A or Super A, sold as a Cub Cadet. No sooner than that then a Case VAC came along and I am now the owner of 2 tractors as a total newbie. Trying to definitly ID Farmall, searched net (realize that there were options and down-on-the farm interchangeability) but "It" has characteristics of both [ID Plate FAA 262797]). The Case seems a definite, ID VAC 5454003. Question is, Where is a good sourse for technial info? Purchased a "How To Restore Your Fram Tractor" is too general, like an Hayes automotive manual. Could use some help, please. Looking for some parts to, Thanks Deutsch, A good starting point is to get a parts manual, owners/operator manual, and IT or service manual. There are several web sources including this site, Binder Books and others. Also your CaseIH dealer can provide them. Then go at it, be careful and work safely, ask lots of questions, get frustrated, buy a lot parts (hide invoices), ask (post) more questions. If you are like most of us, whether you have a farm background or not, you will learn a lo. You'll get pretty good at making 'em run and look good. Most of all enjoy the hobby (obsession for some). Good luck! John McDevitt
