For checking the higher areas look under the dash for power steering / remote control valve issues and into the round hole on the Rt side of the bell housing at the pipe to the power steering and the divert-er valve below that. Any thing lower than that is most likely an O ring on/ in the pump which you should be able to see from the bottom or the gasket between the transmission and the front cover of the transmission.
PS, just happen to think of this, any leak from the rear main seal of the engine will also show up in that area as well..
