Stan, I think you are right, nothing real about that show.
There are several of them, Moonshiners, Outlaw Racers, Oak Island, Ancient Aliens, various Bigfoot shows, probably more I can't think of...
My opinion, those shows are not about bringing anything real to reality TV, they are strictly for entertaining those who are prone to read The Enquirer, and making money for the stockholders.
Then there are some loosely based on reality, but heavily staged and scripted, like the Bush People, Mountain Men, Bearing Sea Gold, American Pickers, Pawn Stars...
Then there are the "working class" shows, Gold Rush, Deadliest Catch, Ice Road Truckers. Those have their share of scripted drama, but are more based on day to day on the job routine. I quickly find them quite boring, especially the language!
Some of my favorites are Forged In Fire, Naked and Afraid, Dirty Jobs (canceled), Myth Busters (canceled), and Cash Cab (just renewed). Not saying they are real, just more entertaining.
As for presenting anything truthful, just watch any show based on the Bible. The script is already written, just act it out. How difficult can that be? Evidently it is difficult enough they can never even come close to getting it right!

It would be a great day for the collies and the terrier dogs, rats and mice would be at the bottom of the stacks so the dogs, would have a busy time hunting and killing, all the corn was gathered and ricked in what we c
