Dad bought his first tractor a Farmall A in 1945. Then traded the A in 1950 for a Farmall C. In 1952 traded the C on a Farmall SC. About 1953 he bought a used IH 10-20 on rubber to run the forage blower, then replaced it with a Ford 8N in 1954 and in 1956 replaced the 8N with JD 420U. In 1957 he traded Farmall SC on IH 300U and in 1962 traded 300U for B414D. In 1969 traded JD 420U for IH 434 Diesel. In 1974 traded B414D for IH 454. My brother started taking over the farm about 1980 and they traded IH 434 for IH 384 and about 1984 they bought an IH 684. In about 1992 they traded 384 for CIH 495. In about 2005 my brother bought a CIH 3230 and a few years ago he bought a used IH 474. So now he has IH 454, 474, 684, CIH 495 and 3230.
