Jig,, I have a high school boy helping me,,Over the years I have had several,,the one I have now has been with me going on 3 years and is the best one yet,,he is going to be a very good mechanic,,and I will miss him a lot,,but I want the young boys that work for me to go on to a higher level,,this one is going to the Caterpillar school in Toledo in August. I don't want a full time employee,,and I enjoy showing young guys the trade..like one of the other post stated "some have it,,some don't". I still have a lot of energy to work,,and I have a learned short cuts and made some good splitting stands that make a big job easier.. I actually get more work done here with one helper than the 2 big dealer shops near me do with a dozen mechanics,,and that is one of the things that keep me busy..I enjoy working on these,,I take pride in doing a good job,,and I don't have the huge over head the big shops have. I know I will need to slow down in a few years,,but till then I'm staying at it..
