A guy who lives in the local "town" would bring home stray cats and feed them. Eventually, all this food on his front stoop attracted every stray cat with a good nose. He ended up with several DOZEN cats. Now this is a run down town, but people still have to go THROUGH it. He lives on the main street, in one of the old stores, so all these cats (some estimated over 150) would be furry little road hazards, even bothering the local Amish when they drove by in a buggy. Anyhow, it was getting outta hand. The guy took a 2 week vacation to Texas, and left a big pile of food on the stoop. When he came back, there were only about 5-6 cats left...and the food was gone.... Nobody knows what happened to the either.....
