Well, after some procrastination learned down on Tractor Tales, here are the details for the 2018 Get Together.
Plan on eating at the Pizza Ranch at 905 West Jackson in Morton, IL (just off I-74 and about 10 miles east of Peoria) around Noon on Saturday 1/20/18. Pretty good pizza, chicken and salad bar for about $12 For those of you that need to work up an appetite or need beekeeping equipment, etc., there is pretty new Blain's Farm & Fleet just north of the interstate from the restaurant at 150 East Courtland in Morton, IL After dining, the regular BS session and the door prize distribution, I think you would like to visit the Caterpillar Visitor Center at 110 SW Washington in Peoria, IL (10 miles back to the west) which currently has an Antique Crawler exhibit. ($5 for seniors -55+ /$7 for regular people). Yeh, Cat pulled their corporate headquarters out of Peoria, BUT it was recently announced that they donated at least a downtown city block and building to the OSF Healthcare system - So I guess it's OK to go look. For those of you that have to buy the wife something for going out on this day (or don't like tractors), Bass Pro Shops in located on the east side of the river at 1000 Bass Pro Shops Drive in East Peoria, IL (Don't worry if you get caught sneaking into the Walmart -We won't tell !!!)

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
