I have always driven Ford. Not trying to tell you to change brands. My comments are based on what is available on Ford, and, assume GMC has similar offering. First, based on the mileage on you other truck: unless you are going to be running the mountains a lot, I suggest the biggest gas engine offered. Diesel if hauling 2 tractors and running mountains. Integrated trailer brakes ( Not the under dash add on box). Heaviest GVWR package offered ( should be heavier suspension, heavier tires, and lower rear end ratio), and factory or dealer installed gooseneck hitch. Transmission or engine brake if offered.
