Is it the later variant with a 6cyl. or earlier with the 4cyl. ? If it's the 4cyl., heads are prone to cracking if not treated right. The MD heads are about $1000, if you can find a good one. The plus on this is, it's easy to start in cold weather. I've got a 400D, about the easiest starting diesel there is.
