I have been coming to the forums since I was about 12 or 13... Back in 1998/99. I used to go by FarmallCaseKid back then, but have since decided to just keep it simple. I generally bounce around between Tractor Talk, Case, Farmall, and John Deere. I am always reading on a daily basis, but only post on others topics when I feel I have something to contribute that another hasn't already said. I'll start my own topics on occasion, but for the most part I'm a reader and I enjoy the knowledge I have gained over the 20 years I have been a 'member'.
YouTube? Well, I guess it is just big business doing what they do. They don't need the small guys for advertisement because they don't generate enough revenue to really make a difference I suppose. I don't do it for the money (obviously), and as you said.. It can become an addiction. I do have a couple videos with over 100K views, but I am by no means a 'viral sensation'. It's just another tool for me to connect with tractor folk, and also for me to kind of get an online tractor show when I am stuck in the house unable to attend various shows.
I'll keep on posting no matter what... Until it no longer becomes fun I guess. But I don't see that happening anytime soon.

Today's Featured Article - 12-Volt Conversions for 4-Cylinder Ford 2000 & 4000 Tractors - by Tommy Duvall. After two summers of having to park my old 1964 model 4000 gas 4 cyl. on a hill just in case the 6 volt system, for whatever reason, would not crank her, I decided to try the 12 volt conversion. After some research of convert or not, I decided to go ahead, the main reason being that this tractor was a working tractor, not a show tractor (yet). I did keep everything I replaced for the day I do want to restore her to showroom condition.
