I haven't posted an update on building my ultimate firewood machine lately. I have built lots of accessories, and mounting frames to hold everything. I have Dubbed the tractor , splitter, and elevator the "Wood Pup", which will have some graphics denoting that, when all painted up. Everything is fastened to a set of cultivator brackets that I had for 4-630 tractors. Access to the front and engine area of the tractor were priorities. All the tool carriers pivot on the cultivator brackets on the front bolster of the tractor, beside the radiator. The front sweeps fold back to access the front of radiator, and air cleaner, and the rear wings fold forward and lock to gain access to the engine on each side. The grill guard slides onto the cultivator receiver, and locks in place. The LH tool carrier is the food and fuel side. It also has accommodations for a single bit ax, splitting maul, splitting wedge, and my pickaroon. The RH side has wooden scabbards for my two saws, a vice to hold them when sharpening them, and storage for my cant and log lifter cant, plus a crow bar. Each fold out wing has a grab handle to swing it out and also a grab bar when mounting the tractor. I also built floor board extensions and a lower step for this old crow to climb up. They are painted, and done. The roof, and front and rear bulkheads, are all done and bolted fast along with the lighting package. Next step is to dismantle all of it and do all the heavy welding on the 2 post with the old stick welder. I just spott welded it up with the mig, but it is not big enough to get the penetration that I need on the main structure. I also built a tool holder on my 3pt splitter, up on the jib arm to hold a choker chain to pull logs out of the bucked up pile at the landings, a hook to hold my newly made "Screw and Grab", My "manual block lifter", and my "Choker Poker". The big block grapple just sets on the ground when not in use and the winch locks it into the splitter frame for transport. I also got my "Limb Dog" all painted up and slid in place on the splitter.
