The PTO disc is against the flywheel when the lever is left up in the disengage position it puts pressure on the flywheel which shoves the crankshaft forward after a while it'll wear out the thrust washers then when they fall down in the oil pan the crank starts to wear the block.Pretty amazing how much it can wear and still run, when I bought my 1365 4WD I knew it had that problem when we tore it down both the crank and block had to be junked.I had a parts 1365 with a good block and crank so we used that with new sleeves, rings etc.
