Here's the Clipper 29d I bought in Kansas on December 19th. I bought it in pieces. It had to be taken out a window by the previous owner. He found another cleaner, and he lost interest in putting this one back together. First pic show it at a friend's shop after unloading it. Second pic shows one of the shoes after replacing some rotten boards and the bottom tin. Third pic shows the progress we made on the frame as of today.
I have the super 29a we fixed up in the mow above the shop right now and am sure glad I have it to look at when figuring out this one.
One interesting thing we found was a board that a guy named Floyd put his name and the date. I forget the exact date, but it was built in 1947, apparently.
This is not a restoration, just a refurbishing to get it operating again. I plan on doing a fair bit more custom cleaning this year versus last year.
