Had this same problem with a C Allis Chalmers. Couple guys came, looked at it and agreed to pay the price. Gave me $200 down and said they would be back in two weeks. Two weeks came and gone with no word. Didn’t have a phone number cause they saw it at the end of the driveway. Waited like four weeks and advertised again and sold it. I kept the first guys money for a couple months but when they never came back I figured the money was mine. Thought if they did come back in six months I’d repay them but never did. I’d sell the tractor, keep his down payment for a few more months and if he doesn’t come back the money is yours. Hope this don’t sound cold hearted!
