I was cleaning up a little in the attic and found a scrapbook made by my uncle Bobby during ww2. It was just newspaper clippings and pictures glued into a notebook. It really got my attention for awhile. There was 6 brothers and he was the only one to young to serve. Ironically he was the only one who died during the war. He was in a car wreck and was hit by a convoy of army trucks. He was 14. I didn't come along until over 30 years later and never heard much about him. I guess looking through this scrapbook got me thinking about him. I can imagine he was probably envious of his older brothers and wishing he was a couple years older so he could join them. I got to thinking about how hard it would have been on my dad and the rest of his brothers. They were off fighting a war and could have been killed any number of times only to find out this 14 year old boy was killed when he was supposed to be safe at home.

But, on the other hand, there is a secret language that our mechanical companions readily do speak. It is an interesting form of communication that involves all the senses of the listener. In this series we are going to investigate and learn the basic rudimentary skills of understanding this lingo.
