OT I know but hear me out: I have a job at work, 08 Chevy 1 ton dually, reg cab with small dump box. Park brake cable rusted in two under cab (its in road salt service). Its the "intermediate" cable. Goes from cable from pedal to end of one of the rear cables which is in turn, coupled to the other rear cable. There is NO, I repeat NO adjuster in any of the cables. I cannot get enough slack to join the two cables back up. I searched the web and found nothing except one other person with the same issue searching for help too. There be should be a threaded end to adjust but its not equipped. I did return the store brand cable from the land of almost right and get an OEM cable from the land of almost right and that cable was about 3/4 inch longer. but I need about 1 inch more. It has rear discs. I will try to attach pic.
