I plan to take this on sometime in the next few weeks. I asked about it now because the topic was already open in the forums and I want to start figuring out a plan. I will first troubleshoot the existing generator and make sure it's properly polarized as someone had suggested. If it still doesn't work I'll probably go with the conversion.
