Satoh (Bull) steering problems?

I have a 25 hp 5630D Satoh 4wd manual steering tractor. The steering keeps going out on it. It has a 2 piece steering shaft and the bearing on the bottom end of the shaft goes bad. Was there a recall on these tractors from the 80's? According to the book it is a "ball screw steering gearbox". Any help would be appreciated thanks,
