--- They showed me the light: I wasn't cut out to be a salesman ! The JSCA (Junior Sales Club of America) in the mid - late 1950's advertised on the back of comic books. You could "earn prizes" like bikes and cameras. I biked all over our rural community trying to sell all occasion cards (happy birthday, merry Christmas, sympathy, etc). This old couple didn't get much company, The wife took out every card in the box, 20 or 25? She opened every card, read the sentiments on the inside, handed it to the husband and he did the same,, both made approving comments. Then all cards put back in the box and a big "No Thanks". Couple of years later I was working for a guy that had ten thousand chickens, gathering eggs and chicken poop. That pretty much is a snapshot of my life - BUT I never lied to one of those hens.
