I bought some frames and mirrors off ebay for my '53 1-ton. That was last spring. For some reason I cannot remember, the frames had to be purchased separate from the mirrors themselves. These were the kind that the frames mount at 3 points below the window and 2 points above. When I repaired the right side door I found the original holes for a mirror like these had been bondoed over.
The mirrors that were on my truck were strictly to pass NC inspection, I guess. All you could see through them was the headgate on the Bed. They were like West Coast mirrors but for a pickup.
