: I purchased a 42 Farmall H this spring. Just noticed one of the rear tires was looking low so I went to check the pressure. Got quite a surprise when what looked like water squerted out. Help! your input is greatly appreciated Someone should write an article about this subject. I have seen this question many times. In regard to the one posting below, If it is so bad, then why is it so widely used. Wheather you use clalcium or antifreeze or windshield washer fluid or straight water or cast iron weight depends on your own prefferences and how you use the tractor. each has advantages/disadvantages. One tip when using any liquid: when the tractor is parked for more than a couple days at a time, park it with the valve stems in the 12:00 position. when using calcium, replace the valve housings when the show any signs of corrosion or leaking. When putting new ones in use an anti-seize compound on the threads. This will help keep you from twisting the threaded bung out of the tube when replacing them next time.
