When i was a kid dad had a 4000. I spent a lot of hours pulling a NH 256 hay take plus pull starting the 4020 in the winter. Most winters we would put it on the grinder to save the trouble of starting the 4020. I use to shovel ear corn out of an old wooden crib and it would make that little ford grunt if I shovled fast. The local Ford/NH dealer had a 4230 on the lot and it was more than I could afford( was in collage) and dad give me the old ford to trade in. They gave me $6000 for it! Like all dads stuff it was washed and waxed. That was 1994 and I still have the 4230.
