Look at it as an opportunity,You might want to consider other employment for a while non ag jobs usually pay a whole lot better than ag ones.Don't know your situation or talents. In my case I considered going into farming full time with my dad early on but we both decided against it for various reasons so I got a good off farm job but continued be involved with the farming operation owning livestock equipment etc.I made a whole lot more money in that job than farming which set me up for the day I was ready to farm full time.So there are ways to keep one foot in farming and also get on good financial ground. And I can tell you once you start to really do well your mother's and brother's attitude will most likely change dramatically. You can go to the beach for a week while he stays home and milks cows if it doesn't impress him it'll sure impress his wife(LOL).You just might end up with the original farm yet,I did.
