We bought a new LG smart TV from BestBuy about 2 weeks ago. Boy the place sure has some idiots working there.
I have been trying to hook up a set of headphones to it. Long story short; after several trips to Bestbuy I finally broke down and called LG customer service.
This is where I have gotten so far.
I have wireless headphones that will hook to a 3.5 mm headphone jack or red and white RCA plugs. Both are male plugs.
I have a TV that has RCA plugs on the back but acording to LG rep they are for input only. To hook up a DVD or such player. He informed me that the only audio output on the TV is either a square fiber optic plug or HDMI ACR plug. Both of these plugs are female.
Can someone give me some ideas of the cheepest way to hook this together. MALE headphone jack or RCA TO Female fiber optic or HDMI.
