No mater what direction you go a high pressure cut-out is mandatory... If you are eating compressors you need it ALL are you will continue to have compressor issues...
I never had any luck covering an R12 A6 to 134A it never cooled well are to my satisfaction... AP Air should have all you need to get your system modernized to 134A...
