Well iam looking at getting a different tractor for round baling. For my baler I need to back up while its tieing to drop the bale. I cant drop the bale andpull forward the hay will interfere with the tail gate closing also the tailgate will hit the bale. That's the need to back up a bit dump, drive forward the close tailgate before hitting windrow again. The last couple of years I borrowed a tractor for my round baler. This year doing more and would like to get my own. Right now I have a 180 allis not real sure about the way the gear pattern is and the pto so I would like something easier to work with.Friend has a ford 5000 8 speed forward and second gear straight ahead so it work nice or I found a 895 caseih with a 8 speed and that same shifting easy and more horse power both priced the same. The 5000 is tractor ive worked on before. The case is at a dealer and I would trade the allis in for it also. Just looking for comments about pros and cons and parts availibity of the two Thanks steve
