Just to add another story. When I worked in a school system many years ago the BRAND NEW grammar school open for not even a month. Janitor came in and found that a 2 inch supply main had let go. How much water do you get through a 2 inch pipe that is busted for several hours in the middle of the night? They had just finished laying the hard rock maple floor in the gym like the week before. The very day the main let go was the day of dedication as the finish was dry. Turned it into a giant twisted mess of precut firewood. Started pulling up the floor like a day or two later. You never want to see what a mess that was. You want to cry. Nothing can be saved.
