Many years ago, but the stuff might still be around......On three different auto engines low hour burning a lot of oil and smoking a lot of blue smoke I put 2 cans of Alemite CD2 for newer engines in use in fresh oil and drove the daylights out of the cars('55 Mercury 292, '58 Ford 332, '64 GMC 1 ton truck 350 engine) and changed the oil again at about 750 miles.....and on all three applications the oil burning stopped, the rings obviously unstuck and sealed properly again. Never had an occasion to try it in the last 30 years or so.
