This is what I do also, and would never want to go back to a tractor. It actually makes it a pleasant job to have the heater and radio going on a cold snowy day. Mine is a 1985 GMC that isn't licensed for the road anymore, just plows snow. If you are handy, you can pick up a retired snow plow truck that needs some work pretty cheap. It is likely going to be rusty and beat up if you get it cheap but who cares. Not to mention it is a lot faster than a tractor.
