You are about to make the same mistake my Dad made 20 years ago. If the side covers are on the sides of the engine it's probably worth $150. But if not, about the only thing that interchanges with a REAL Cub Cadet is the wheels and tires. A 11 hp Briggs & Scrapiron engine vs an 8, 10, 12 hp cast iron Kohler, I'll take the Kohler every time.
I'd leave it where ever it's sitting right now. Dad regretted bringing his 1100 home once he really looked at it.
I've only been running Cub Cadets for 55 years! Since 1963. I still have the 1965 #70 Dad bought new in '65 out in the shop. Best tractor I own.
