Judging by the hood, it HAS to be 03 +, however those mirrors were replaced by the much more popular square style mirrors in about 05-06
So, it could be an LB7, which was 01-04 (Hood / dash changed in 03) Could be an LLY, which was 04-05, this is the same lower end as an LB7, however has updated ValveCovers, and MUCH easier to change injectors. 06 was the start of the LBZ. One of the meanest, most desirable Duramax's
My guess would be LLY motor, but it is just a guess. Get the whole vin and I can tell you a lot more!
The 8th digit of the Vin will be 1, 2, or D.
1 = LB7 2 = LLY D = LBZ, but some of the early LBZ's were actually "De-Tuned" and sold as LLY's (which is what my new crashed 06 is) It will still have the D code.
