I do have Grandpa's 1941 Case SC (center exhaust).. He got it from a salvage yard in ND in the 1970's. He passed in 1993, and everyone in the family told me it was a lost cause, that it was "just plain wore out". I refused to accept that at 12 years old (we pulled it from the woods in 1998). Took me almost 10 years to finish it, but with a lot of help on this forum - I managed to get it to this state... Never got the chance to get grandpa's 1940 Farmall M... So I built one exactly like it (only a 1947 model). He rescued his, engine stuck from the woods.. I rescued mine - engine stuck at the salvage yard. First two photos are the Case SC (the first one is grandpa in '88).. Second two are Grandpa's M (with me on it) in 1990, and then the '47 M I built just like it. Also have 4 other tractors in my collection - '38 F20, '42 H, '42 JD A Unstyled Conversion, and a '44 MM ZTU. Love them all, but Grandpa's is always the most true to me.
