Putting the head on a Ford 850 gas tractor with 7/16" head bolts. I thought I read 100 - 105 lbs of torque. I got all the bolts torqued down and I read the specs again. THE SPECS WERE FOR A DIESEL. The gas was supposed to be 60-65 lbs of torque. My question is should I take the head off again and get new head bolts? I probably stretched the bolts. Will the head gasket still be good? I noticed the mistake right after installing the head. These Senior moments seem to be happening more often.
