I met three. None were what I call planned meetings. One here in northern Michigan who operates a small engine and power equipment business. Another who replied to my mentioning here my need for a trucker to move stuff from NY to MI. He gave me a great deal with his semi and 50 foot step-deck trailer. I forgot his name. He gave me a great deal. Also have met Mr. Oliver many times in central New York in the area of Otsego and Delaware Counties.
The guy who trucked my stuff also works at the Mackinac Bridge crossing to shuttle old tractors. Anybody know him? Here he is.
$1500 for a 800 mile move was one heck of a deal as I see it. He said he always wanted to meet me. Not sure if he changed his mind after he did.
