Was cruising youtube last night and came across a video of someone baling small squares with a fancy in-line baler. They had a stroke counter in the cab and were talking about the importance of having a certain number of strokes per bale, speeding up or slowing down so that the strokes per bale would be uniform. They never said how many stokes per bale they were trying to get. Baler was doing a nice job and they were baling at a much higher ground speed that we ever did back in the day. So what is the importance of strokes per bale? Is it an in-line thing? If we got our old Ford baler to tie consistently, we were tickled to death, and the number of stokes was the least of our concern. The people in the video are apparently targeting the horse people market, is it one more thing for them to be picky about?
