Was at the Edinburgh Tractorl World show and sale yesterday. Huge event, thousands of folks present, think the organisers were a bit overwhelmed by the their own success! Had to stand in line for over half an hour just to get a burger and a coffee! Anyway, part 1 - some photos from the sale, and some prices, converted to US dollars. The Allis made $7700, the Cockshutt, $2,800, the Field Marshall Mk1 with forestry winch $12,700, the Fowler crawler $12,700, the Volvo with Perkins P3 withdrawn at $2,400, the Nuffield 4/60 $5,000, Massey Fergies from $2,800 (unrestored) to $6300 (fully restored, and the MF 1100 (a non-runner) made $9,900. The Grey Fergies (two petrol and one diesel, all restored) were around the $4000 mark. Many of the implements looked as if they had been specially dragged out of the undergrowth for the occasion - not much money changed hands there! Jim
