I told this story here once before but would tie in nicely. A farmer was working on a piece of equipment up near his barn when I saw a dark green 4x4 pickup headed up his driveway with a logo on it's door and a light bar across the roof that told him that it was some sort of law enforcement vehicle. He stopped what he was doing and looked up as a uniformed man got out and walked up to him.
"I'm with Borders and Customs" the agent said as he flipped his badge at the farmer "And I'm here to look around to see if there are any illegal aliens on the property".
The farmer started to tell him that there were none but the agent cut him off and said "This badge allows me to go anywhere at anytime and I don't need your or anyone else's permission" as he stomped off towards a pasture.
"But wait" the farmer started to say as the agent turned and held up his badge again, pointing at it and saying "Anywhere I want to go", and disappeared out of sight behind the pasture fence stomping his way out into the pasture.
Wanting to warn the agent that he had his prize horned bull grazing out in the pasture, the farmed shut up and went back to working on the piece of equipment.
A few minutes later the farmer heard the agent screaming for his life, "Help! Helllp! Helllllllp!"
The farmer stopped what he was doing and looked over the fence and saw the agent running towards him as fast as he could with the bull chasing him down and closing in on him.
"Your badge" the farmer yelled at him, "Show him your badge".

There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
