I have resorted to getting custom orthotic inserts from a lab that makes prosthetic limbs among other things. I pay $450 per pair but they last two years or so. Orthotics are yur only hope of fixing the problem and getting your feet healthy again. You may have partially collapsed arches that can lead to crippling problems when you get older if you do not take the right action now. You will need a prescription from an orthopedic surgeon for the inserts - the real corrective ones are only available by prescription. Many "podiatrists" are not really medical doctors and cannot correctly diagnose or recommend solutions. Make sure you go to a real MD or DO.
