I was diagnosed with prostate cancer last Sept. You might want to read up on Tomo Therapy. [proton beam radiation] I had 45 treatments. Each treatment only lasted a few minutes with out much side affects. I'm also receiving lupron injections. My psa went way down after the treatments and the doctor said my prostate was much smaller. Don't know what the long term results will be, but at 75 I'm optimistic. Have a 90 year old neighbor who had his prostate removed 25 years a ago and said he had a bad time with incontinence. He said his doctor gave him an artificial sphincter valve and he has been fine since. Hope all goes well for you.
