Just some observations gleaned from spending money on things I did not understand...(read that as been there done that)...Almost all vehicular lighting uses a particular style of bulb which, when lit, generates light that is then reflected outward. The interaction between the bulb and the reflector is designed and engineered to work in the most efficient manner possible, focusing the light in the desired direction. Introducing a different style bulb (to a reflector designed for something else) usually results in poor dispersal of the reflected light. It might be bright, or even very bright, but it also may be going everywhere except where you want it to go. I'd go with an entire new unit.......may not be as pretty as keeping the stock headlight buckets, but it'll probably do ya a better job.
