Let's put this in simple terms. If a PVT soldier gets caught mishandling the lowest level classified material (confidential, like personnel records) the A: are relieved of duties B:security clearances are pulled C: May be court martialed but will most likely be offered "non-judicial punishment" under Atrial 15 of the UCMJ and D: be separated from service.
So you would give a pass to someone who would be the commander of said PVT but allow them to operated at a much lower standard?
Go break a law that you don't know about. A judge will tell you that "ignorance of the law is no excuse" or words that that effect. Then the FBI at the time under a different administration, one on her side, decides that also doesn't apply to her?
I can understand a 4 year old, being prompted by parents who have certain leanings, saying she would rather have a known criminal in that office. She doesn't know any better!
Now that doesn't mean I like the current office holder.....I happen to like him better than the alternative.
