If Smithfield provides all the pork to retailers in a certain area of the country and it's not available, they'll have to go farther out to source the product and that'll add cost, that's all I'm saying. It might not be a lot,but it'll be a cost that the retailers will have to bare or pass on to consumers. I'm not saying it'll effect wholesale prices. The same thing happens when we talk about any ag product. No,it won't change the finite world supply, but selling things to a different country can change the port that it has to be shipped out of and changes basis, meaning the local elevator could be paying a lot less than they would have otherwise.
