One way to see if it is spark related is to use the points in the Mag as a trigger and the mag cap as a distributor. Use a coil from a different vehicle. Remove the internal mag connection to the points, and use the former grounding (kill wire) terminal for a connection from the new coil to ground. Use a spare condenser from anything (also connected to the same coil terminal (that matches the ground of the battery) supply battery voltage to the coil through a normal on off switch from the non grounded side of the battery. Put the high voltage coil wire into the coil and the center of the cap. If it runs now, either leave it, or fix the mag, but you know what the issue is. They often need a solid choking to get them to fire. Black smoke and all at first. Jim
