1755 thru 1-150 and early 85 & 105's had a Vickers PVB15 pump, Late 85-105's had the PVE19 pump. Both were rated as 15 GPM as they changed the gear drive to slow the PVE19 pump down. If you are using UTF for hydraulic oil, and are running the larger pump without gearing changes the pump is probably cavitating. The filter system was made by Gressen. They have a 150 mesh screen that you can substitute for the paper filter. It is not as fine a micron rating as the paper filter, but is within the micron specs (barely) of the pumps. Also if the compensator valve is not set correctly the pump can fight itself. Here is a link to the parts page http://www.agcopartsbooks.com/PartsBooksN/Viewer/book.aspx?book=agco/43322000 , I'm assuming you are reffering to items 22 and 29. Those are the case drain, and you do need to get it hooked up. Do you hear a "klunk" from the pump area on startup? That is the compensator stroking the pump. I don't have a 2-105 hydraulic system manual any more to get you the settings.
