I bought a new truck at the end of last year. I mentioned to a couple of salesmen at different dealerships that it was hard to find an F250 with an 8' box because Ford was making so many short bed crew cabs for people that were buying them to use as cars. Both agreed. One salesman said "no one wants those (cars/sedans) when they can have a nice roomy SUV or truck".
The other salesman said the dealership he worked for had sold over 80 trucks and a couple of cars in the last few weeks.
Ford sold lots of Fusions but sales are declining. Even Honda Accord sales are way down.
Why build something that people don't want?
