Air in a fuel system is a funny thing.. It can act differently on 2 identical machines.. ANY connection can suck air..& there are a lot of connections. & just because it doesn't leak, doesn't mean its not sucking air.. Like I said, Its a funny thing.. SOME systems run the injector return line back to the fuel tank, while others run the line back to the filter head.. so if you have a leak/air at the return lines, its going straight back into the filter head to be put IN the inj. pump.. IF you have a leak anywhere on/in the system.. chances are, ITS SUCKING/producing AIR. There IS NOT 1 specific area this happens to.. I WISH I could say, YUP, just tighten this up or replace these gaskets.. but it doesn't work like that.. Personally, I would get the leak fixed & change the return gaskets on top of the injectors, for starters.
