A local town has a rock about three times that size along the highway a few miles out of town. (Can't perceive how big your rock is, so forgive me if my comparison is off....) Any time a high school class graduates, a couple gets married, or if there's a big anniversary, the rock gets a fresh coat of paint on it with details of the event. I bet that rock has 500 coats of paint on it.
