I won't dispute your stats but the final numbers are what they are unfortunately. There are a disproportionate number of gun deaths in one of the world's most advanced nations, to me that is disturbing whatever the reason. Dissecting and rationalizing can be done on any controversial topic of course, up here in Alberta we are constantly being reminded from all corners of the globe that our tar sands oil is "dirty" (for a number of reasons) ...... something that enrages most Albertans because it is the basis of our economy. And to most of us, anyone that says those things are wrong and we can prove that it isn't as dirty as they say when we crunch the numbers we want to crunch.
