Wife/snapper story...
We were at a friends house party I noticed a old snapper rear engine rider out behind is shed and a new rider in the shed. He had just brought a new one I ask about the old one he said $100 would get it so I pulled out a hundred we loaded it up.
Party over wife jumps in the truck and ask are you working on the mower for J, I said know I brought it...
She said I mow with a pusher don't want a rider,,,, I said "I bought it just encase I have to Mow the grass :)
She became a rider...
Another Wife/mower story...
When I brought my first Zero turn she comes to the shop and said the mower will not GO I said what do you mean it will not go she said when I move it from turtle to rabbit it WONT GO!
I had to stop and go see what she meant buy Rabbit/turtle. When we got to the mower she worked the throttle and said see it won't go when I move it from turtle to rabbit... The clamp for the throttle cable at the carb had came lose... I think they put Turtle/rabbit on the throttle for wimmens... :)
Farther in-law brought a snapper like the one you farther had I worked on it all the time it was a worn out P.O.S. There was not much I did not have to rebuild then one day the drive line broke :) I was very happy so happy I never put it back together... I kept the engine and front tires then junked the rest.

After two summers of having to park my old 1964 model 4000 gas 4 cyl. on a hill just in case the 6 volt system, for whatever reason, would not crank her, I decided to try the 12 volt conversion. After some research of convert or not, I decided to go ahead, the main reason being that this tractor was a working tractor, not a show tractor (yet). I did keep everything I replaced for the day I do want to restore her to showroom condition.
