I should agree with you, but let me give you an example of what happened to me a couple of months ago. A brick and mortar company listed a part that I wanted on the internet. I called them up, they said they had no problem with a postal money order, so I got one and sent it to them. About a week later, I got a letter in the mail from that company that said the part I wanted was discontinued and they sent my postal money order back to me with no further explanation. (Yea, I know I should have used the credit card, but the wife was using it to visit her mom a few states away and I didn't memorize the numbers on it, so.....) I took it back to the post office to get my money back and I had one HECK of a time. Perhaps the teller was new, perhaps nobody tries to cash a postal money order, I don't know. It easily took a half hour of her time and she called two supervisors to get directions on how to do it. After I finally got my cash and got home, she called me to request my driver's license number. This was my home town post office and I actually went to high school with this girl. I know it shouldn't have been that hard and I should have used a credit card, but it's live and learn, I guess.
